Questions about intellectual property
Is a business name the same as a trade mark?
No. Registering a business name lets you trade under it; a trade mark protects the brand itself against others using it. Many businesses need both.
Does copyright need registration?
Copyright exists once a work is created, but registration with the Kenya Copyright Board makes it much easier to prove and enforce.
